Long term all rounder couple for a busy caravan park

Job Requirements

Kimberleyland Waterfront Holiday Park in the East Kimberley Western Australia is looking for a couple to join our team for a minimum of 12months. 

This is a large, busy seasonal park, in a remote area that can be very hot in the Wet season.

The ideal candidates will have a hands-on approach and strong outgoing personalities in addition to be able to handle difficult situations in a professional manner.

This job is not for the faint-hearted or somebody that does not want to get their hands dirty. You will need to jump right in there and support the team. At times the job may include tasks such as fixing things that break at the oddest hour and cleaning when the circumstances require.

Responsibilities and requirements as follows:

Reception and cleaning duties include but are not limited to:

  • Answering phones, check in and check out procedures, assisting customers, tour desk
  • Cleaning 3 days a week in the slower part of the season (October – March) or as required
  • At least 2 night shifts on call per week
  • Assist in the busy café as required
  • Assist with entertainment/meal nights at least 2 nights a week
  • Current Drivers licence is required

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in customer service essential
  • Enjoy high amount of people contact
  • Physically fit and enthusiastic with a 'can do' attitude
  • Good level of computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience in Newbook management system (or similar) is essential
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to different situations
  • Effective problem solving
  • Experience in Caravan Parks is essential

 

  • Grounds' maintenance duties include but are not limited to:
  • General grounds care and repairs
  • Maintenance of pool, amenity block, BBQ, etc.
  • Maintenance and basic servicing of park equipment (mowers, pumps, etc.)
  • At least 2 night shifts on call each week
  • Assist with entertainment/meal nights at least 2 nights per week

 

 

Skills and experience:

  • Good handyman skills are essential
  • Ability to operate plant and equipment
  • A trade certificate would be highly desirable but is not essential
  • Physically fit and enthusiastic with a 'can do' attitude
  • Enjoy high amount of people contact
  • Current driver's licence needed
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to different situations
  • Effective problem solving
  • Experience in Caravan Parks is essential

Excellent customer service and organisational skills are required for both candidates.

This is not a 9 – 5 job and being available to work different days and times is essential

You both will require a Working With Children Check and Police Check. Current First Aide is desirable.

Must have own accommodation. Powered site will be supplied
