Job Description

As Manager of Grounds and Maintenance you will lead a dedicated team that ensures the park is presented and maintained to the highest possible standards. You will have a hands-on approach to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. An eye for detail and being able to think on your feet will also be greatly beneficial in this role. We are dedicated to being an agile and responsive organisation that is able to satisfy the competing demands of guests and the day to day operations. As is the nature of the tourism industry there will be the need to be flexible with working weekends, public holidays and being part of the on-call roster. This will require you to stay on site, whilst on-call. Accommodation is provided for on – call duties.

The park has a variety of Cabins, Powered Sites, En-suite Sites on offer for our guests. Not to mention the huge variety of kid’s activities on offer. They can keep themselves busy on the waterpark, jumping pillow, pump track, resort pool & much more. The park is a true destination holiday park.

Job Requirements

The responsibilities of the Grounds and Maintenance Manager will include, but is not limited to:

  • Ensure the park is presented and maintained to the high standards set
  • Exceptional customer service skills to ensure all staff provide outstanding customer service.
  • Ensure your team has a great work culture that is built to ensure all works are completed to continually provide guests with a safe & well-maintained park.
  • Complete and manage grounds works such as mowing, whipper – snipping, hedging, and weeding are completed in a timely manner and presented to standards
  • Maintain and manage maintenance works on accommodation, communal and recreational facilities
  • Maintain and manage Pools, bins, and other items in line with park policies and procedures
  • Maintain and manage equipment, tools, and machinery
  • Use PPE and safe handling of chemicals as required
  • Follow COVID safe procedures as required
  • As the nature of the industry you will be required to work some weekends, public holidays. There will also be a requirement to be included on the rotating on call roster

About You

We are looking for a person who has the ability to be able to develop a strong team, that creates a great working environment. You will be able to prioritise your time and workload to ensure all daily tasks are completed to a high standard, whilst also ensuring that our customers expectations are meet.  You will bring to the position:

  • Previous experience working as a Tradesperson, handyman or in a maintenance position would be advantageous
  • Experience in managing, developing, and training staff
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of WHS
  • Flexible attitude to work hours, working weekends and after hours
  • Great customer service skills and the love of working outdoors
