Park Lane Bendigo is looking for a Dynamic Operations Manager to lead our team in an award winning, family owned and operated tourism business.

We also build beautiful homes for senior homeowners who are looking to live in our independent lifestyle communities. Located in the historical rich region of the Victorian goldfields, Bendigo Park Lane offers a destination full of activities to experience, places to explore and fun to be had! Home to Bendigo’s largest indoor play centre, Park Lane Bendigo is a popular destination for families.  

This role will be a challenge to both grow your own management skills as well as lead a team. You will need to oversee the operations of a thriving holiday park and senior living community and lead our team in providing an outstanding experience for our customers.

You will be required to manage a team, to motivate and supervise staff activities as well as completing your own workload. It is essential that applicants have excellent customer service, strong computer skills and experience in operating a reservation system, NewBook preferred.

You will be required to live on-site in the 3-Bedroom managers residence provided, Pets OK.   

  • Newbook (or similar property management system) experience preferred; solid computer skills are essential.
  • A focus on providing excellent customer service, at all times.
  • Possess great communication and problem-solving skills.
  • An understanding of growth strategies, marketing, guest reviews, rate management and the desire to grow the business.
  • Flexible attitude to work, and work hours. Be available to work weekends, school and public holidays.
  • Standard working hours are 38 hours per week, with Tuesday and Wednesday as your usual days off. This role allows for one weekend per month to be taken off
  • It is expected, the on-site managers will be available for emergency call-out, out of business hours. 5 days per week.

Job Requirements

  • Manage and implementing business marketing, bookings, ordering.
  • Responsible for the management, supervision and efficient running of the park, reception and all grounds and cleaning staff.
  • Ability to recruit, induct and manage the performance of your team through leadership and empowerment.
  • Receipt payments, daily Newbook balance, Owners statements and reports
  • Having a hands-on approach, to lead by example and to develop a cohesive motivated team
  • Strong decision making, and negotiation skills required.
  • Ensure the procedures are followed at all times
  • Coordinate the grounds and cleaning functions
  • Inspect accommodation, amenities and grounds to ensure high standards are consistently met
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints in a courteous and professional manner
  • Assist in the management of up-to-date emergency procedures
  • Enforce site rules for safe operations, including COVID-19 requirements
  • Support the Co-ordination of sub-contractors and tradespeople working on site
  • Manage health and safety requirements of the park
  • Have excellent references from your previous employers.

The managers will report too and take instruction from the head of Operations and Park Lane Executive team.
