Job Description

We are a remote fishing club on the banks of a Northern Territory river offering powered and unpowered camping along with a licenced bar and grill.  A varied and interesting management position is available for an experienced person.

You will be accountable to the committee for the overall running of the club and working with section managers to ensure they are performing their duties as required.

References will be required. Computer proficiency as well professional attitude and excellent people skills are essential.  Being a live-in position we anticipate that you will be present at the club for part of most days and nights, as some flexibility with hours is needed depending on circumstances.  On-site accommodation site is available or you may choose to bring your own caravan where your rent will be subsidised.  Your own transport is required and meals and beverages will be your own responsibility

 

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Management of staff (together with section Managers) for roster preparation, performance management and recruitment of new staff
  • Working with the Caretaker’s office to coordinate ground maintenance, cleaning, garbage collection etc
  • Coordinate with the Bar Manager and Kitchen Managers for staff, stock control, pricing and event management
  • Liaise with the Maintenance department to manage repairs, construction and regular maintenance
  • Finance management including monthly profit and loss of each section
  • Resource management for consumables
  • Conducting weekly inspections of the site
  • Attend to emergency situations when required.
  • Help with gaining sponsorship

About You

  • Experience in managing similar assets, preferably Tourist/Caravan Parks
  • Operational and project management skills
  • Experience using Reckon or similar accounting software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good administrative, financial controls and practices
  • Ability to identify and prioritise tasks
