Caretaker Couple

We are looking for a full time Caretaker couple who are interested and looking for the opportunity to run the park. Looking for a couple that have excellent customer service and have the ability to be very hands on in the position. The park has a mixture of full time residents, cabins and sites.  The position includes a 2 bedroom unit that is fully furnished, private backyard and car park.  Previous experience would be an advantage but not essential. Position will be a minimum 2 year contract, with a three month probationary period at the start of the employment. Wages will be negotiable on experience with Immediate start.

Park is set in the Colac Otway Shire, 2 hours from Melbourne, 1 Hour from Geelong, Lorne & Apollo Bay and close to the Great Ocean Road. 

Duties

• General Caravan Park reception duties
• General grounds/garden maintenance
• Minor building repairs and maintenance such as plumbing, painting & minor caravan repairs
• Manage risks (WH&S)
• Manage/assistance to cleaning staff
• Making reservations
• Checking guests in/out
• Assisting our customers with any after hours requirements

Skills and Experience

• Previous Park Management experience is preferred but not essential
• Demonstrated good general maintenance and handyman abilities.
• Previous experience using Campmaster reservation systems is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
• A focus on providing excellent customer service at all times
• Flexible attitude to work and work hours
• Effective problem solving
• Prepared to work with the owners to achieve short and long term goals for the property
• Be innovative in ideas to grow business
• Commencement date is flexible and will be discussed as part of the interview process.
• This can be a contract position, where the successful applicants will be required to have an ABN and public liability insurance or a salary position.
• Applicants must have good communication skills, be confident, and able to work unsupervised. The Caretakers will report to the owners.
